Friday's Top Prep Performers: T.O. beats Westlake; Oxnard tops Ventura in league showdowns

Highlights from Friday in high school sports:

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Elias Chin finished with 29 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals, Trent MacLean scored 16 points, and Luke Koren had 11 points as Thousand Oaks (16-5, 2-1) defeated Westlake 72-59 to hand the Warriors their first Marmonte League loss. Dante Deshautelle scored 14 points, Kayden Elsokary had 10 points, six rebounds and three assists, Aidan Delavari had 11 points and five rebounds, and Austin Maziasz had 10 points, nine rebounds and two blocks for the Warriors (16-5, 2-1).

  • Troy McGovern scored 15 points, Nick Giarrusso had 10 points and Stevie Prudholme added nine points as first-place Oaks Christian (13-8) improved to 3-0 in the Marmonte League with a 52-49 win over Agoura. Ethan Klopp scored a game-high 21 points, Elai Segev had nine points and DJ Jacob added eight points for the Chargers (8-12, 1-2).

  • Tidiane Sy scored 18 points, Grayson Coleman had 12 points and Odijie Okojie finished with 11 points to lead Calabasas (14-6, 1-2) to a 68-48 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game. Alex Depatie scored 15 points, Blake Jones had 11 points and Peter Chen added 10 points for the Panthers (12-10, 0-3).

  • Marcos Ramirez finished with 26 points, seven assists and four steals, David Giron had 17 points and five rebounds, and Nathaniel Gomez contributed 13 points, nine points, four assists and three steals to lead first-place Oxnard (17-4, 7-0) to a 65-50 victory over Ventura in a Channel League showdown. Travis Valenzuela scored 12 points, Finn Fancher and Parsa Kamali each had 11 points, and Caleb Sebek added nine points for the Cougars (6-12, 5-2).

  • Josh Ullegue finished with 23 points and six assists, Luke Ortiz had 18 points and five blocks, Wakine Molina scored 10 points, and Jayden Iyer had five points and eight rebounds to lead Buena (9-11, 3-4) to a 56-44 win over Dos Pueblos in a Channel League game.

  • Isaiah Dillon had 16 points, seven assists and two steals, Richard Miranda hit four 3-pointers for 12 points, and Julian Fuentes had nine points and four rebounds for Pacifica (7-13, 0-7) in its 78-58 loss to San Marcos in a Channel League game.

  • Rio Mesa (6-12, 2-5) lost 70-50 to Santa Barbara (14-7, 6-1) in a Channel League game.

  • Seshsha Henderson finished with 15 points and four rebounds, Jadon Holmes had 11 points, six rebounds and four blocks, and Steven Melina scored 11 points as Oak Park (14-7, 2-1) defeated Moorpark 54-38 to hand the Musketeers their first loss in Coastal Canyon League play. Levi Oakes had 19 points and six rebounds and Tyson Howarth had eight points and four rebounds for Moorpark (8-13, 3-1).

  • Tyler Hook and Evan Dela Paz each scored 14 points and Shane Frank added seven points to lead Camarillo (12-9, 1-2) to a 40-29 victory over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League game. Ace Arnold scored 15 points to lead the Highlanders (17-6, 0-3).

  • Dylan Benner dropped in 25 points, Sam Seiden had 14 points and Donald Clark IV added eight points to lead St. Bonaventure (15-7, 3-0) to a 67-42 victory over Cate in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • JD Pettit finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks, Mark Perez hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points and five rebounds, Julian Espinoza contributed nine points, five assists and four rebounds, and Andy Pimental had seven points, six rebounds and two blocks to lead Santa Clara (8-10, 1-1) to a 63-53 victory over Bishop Diego in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • Nazir Ivey scored 15 points and Joshua Fernandez, Rajai Moody and Jevon Bobbsemple each finished with eight points to lead Channel Islands (8-9, 4-2) to a 66-34 victory over Hueneme (4-14, 2-3) in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Ryde Mjoen scored 26 points, Justin Rener had 17 points, and Kyler Hoffer broke the school record for charges taken (66 in his career; 36 this season) as Simi Valley (14-9) hit 15 3-pointers en route to an 84-43 win over Hillcrest Christian (12-5) in a nonleague game.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Kierabella Coletta-Todd finished with 22 points and 14 rebounds, Kimiko Carmer contributed nine points, seven rebounds and four steals, Greta Heath had nine points, 10 rebounds and three steals, Dana Cruz had six points and two steals, and Skylar Komatsu added two points and five rebounds as Newbury Park (20-1, 3-0) extended its winning streak to 20 games with a 48-33 victory over Calabasas (6-11, 2-1) in a Marmonte League game.

  • Devin Feiereisen scored 25 points, Mathis Dritz had 18 points, Emma Ange had 13 points, and Taylor Swanson added 11 points as Westlake (9-6) improved to 3-0 in Marmonte League play with a 71-49 victory over Thousand Oaks. Kira Jones scored 15 points, Mila-Nai Colon Yau had 10 points, and Amanda Wang and Jillian McGillivray each had nine points for the Lancers (8-12, 1-2).

  • Freshman Presley Kushner poured in 27 points and Sage Pendergraft had 11 points to lead Oaks Christian (6-13, 1-2) to a 55-30 victory over Agoura (0-18, 0-3) in a Marmonte League game.

  • Addison Moody scored 14 points, Emerson Martin had 13 points, Daniela Rocha had 11 points, Christa Contreras had 10 points, and Elizabeth Rocha added nine points to lead Camarillo (14-5, 3-0) to a 70-10 win over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League game.

  • Oak Park defeated Moorpark 69-21 to improve to 3-0 in Coastal Canyon League play and 10-7 overall.

  • Freshman Aryanna Lopez poured in 26 points, Alyse Ramirez finished with 12 points, six steals and five rebounds, Jalynn Rico had six points, seven rebounds, five steals, Madilyn Stonebraker had 15 rebounds, six blocks and four steals, and Alyssa Garcia six points and two rebounds to lead first-place Santa Paula (13-8, 6-0) to a 53-29 victory over Nordhoff in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Andrea Ramirez had nine points and four rebounds, Nataly Vigil had seven points and 12 rebounds, and Aryanne Munoz finished with six points, three assists and three rebounds to lead Fillmore (3-9, 2-4) to a 28-26 win over Hueneme in a Citrus Coast League game.

BOYS SOCCER

  • Uziel Díaz scored two goals, Diego Estrada had a goal, and Andy Johnson and Tristan Crandon combined for the shutout in net to lead Thousand Oaks (7-6-2, 2-0-1) to a 3-0 victory over Westlake (7-4-1, 0-3) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Kevin Zendejas and Finnley Luis scored goals off assists from Jesse Davis and Kenner Aguilar to lead Agoura (6-3-2, 2-0-1) to a 2-1 victory over Oaks Christian (2-7-0, 0-3) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Jake Lewis scored the lone goal of the game to lift Newbury Park (7-6-1, 2-0-1) to a 1-0 victory over Calabasas (5-1-2, 1-1-1) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Mattheo Sipaque and Armando Acevedo scored goals for Moorpark (8-7-3, 2-1-1) and Tamir Ratoviz and Tyler Cash scored goals for Oak Park (8-1-1, 2-0-1) in the teams' 2-2 draw in a Coastal Canyon League showdown.

  • Mike Marsical scored two goals, Taylor Brenning and Johannes Sandbakken had assists, and Ethan Johnson posted the shutout in net to lead Camarillo (7-7-1, 2-1) to a 2-0 win over Royal (8-8-2, 1-2) in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Hueneme (3-7-1, 3-2) defeated Fillmore 2-1 in a Citrus Coast League match. Jesus Angel Avila scored the goal for the Flashes (4-6-5, 2-3-1).

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Maddie Linville scored two goals as Thousand Oaks (7-1-1, 2-1) defeated Westlake 2-1 in a Marmonte League match, handing the Warriors (8-1-1, 2-1) their first loss of the season.

  • Clara Caulfield and Madison Neier scored goals and Mia York had an assist to lead Newbury Park (6-3-1, 1-1-1) to a 2-0 victory over Calabasas (8-4-3, 0-3) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Avery Oder netted a hat trick and added an assist, Lauren Gatien had a goal and an assist, Scarlette Druian scored a goal, and Isa Wieder and Ella Pfeiffer had assists to lead Oaks Christian (8-2-2, 3-0) to a 5-0 win over Agoura (1-7-1, 0-2-1) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Moorpark (6-4-1, 4-0) remained in first place in the Coastal Canyon League with a 2-1 victory over Oak Park. Malea Johnson scored a goal off an assist from Gwen Gove for the Eagles (7-3-2, 2-1).

  • Courtney Hogan scored the game's lone goal and Jessie Heybl and Makenna Gout combined for the shutout in net to lead Camarillo (4-4-1, 2-1) to a 1-0 victory over Royal (4-10-1, 0-3) in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Lizbeth Mendez had a goal and an assist, Marlene Gonzalez and Athena Sanchez scored goals, Karissa Terrazas finished with two assists, and Gabriela Martinez posted the shutout in net to lead Fillmore (6-2-0, 4-1) to a 3-0 victory over Hueneme in a Citrus Coast League match.
