Highlights from Friday in high school sports:

BASEBALL

  • Alex Villacana allowed two earned runs in a complete-game performance and was 2 for 2 with an RBI at the plate, Devon Wilkes went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, JJ Carmona was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, Mekaeo Lualemana went 2 for 3 with three RBIs, and Bobby Ramirez was 1 for 3 with an RBI to lead Pacifica (6-6-1, 3-3) to a 13-3 win over Ventura in a Channel League game. John Marshall had a double and Luis Jungo, John Gurrola and Noah Tam each had a hit and an RBI for the Cougars (7-6, 4-2).

  • Damien Valdez went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, Hunter Cervantes was 1 for 2 with two RBIs, and Josh Cardenas was 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead Rio Mesa (8-4-1, 4-2) to a 9-2 win over Buena in a Channel League game. Elijah Garcia had a double and an RBI for the Bulldogs (1-12, 1-6).

  • Max Garcia allowed two earned runs in a complete-game effort and Cooper Moreau had a hit and an RBI for Oxnard (6-5, 2-4) in its 4-1 loss to San Marcos in a Channel League game.

  • Nick Tostado allowed just three hits and no earned runs while striking out five in a complete-game effort, Trotter Enright went 3 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI, Boston Bateman was 2 for 3, and Troy Arenzana had a hit and an RBI to lead Camarillo (8-3, 4-0) to a 4-1 win over Simi Valley in a Coastal Canyon League game. Quentin McGahan, Roan Schmidt and Ryan Ulmen had the hits for the Pioneers (4-4-2, 1-2-1).

  • Taylor Busch went 2 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs, Greg Lareva finished 3 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI, Cameron Johnson was 1 for 2 with a triple and two RBIs, and Jacob Shannon-Wilkerson went 3 for 3 with an RBI to lead Moorpark (6-7-1, 2-1-1) to a 11-2 win over Oak Park (2-6, 0-4) in a Coastal Canyon League game.

  • Sammy Gomez pitched a two-hit shutout with five strikeouts, Tyler Antwine hit a two-run home run, and Timmy Alvarez was 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead Santa Paula (5-5, 3-0) to a 3-0 win over Channel Islands in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Dustin Dunwoody allowed three hits while striking out seven and walking just one in six shutout innings, Isaiah Tillman was 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Andrew Koby, Colten Rainer and Lucas Markand had hits to lead Royal (11-3) to a 2-0 win over Roosevelt in a nonleague game.

SOFTBALL

  • Jiselle Garcia went 3 for 5 with four RBIs, Amerika Saldivar was 2 for 3 with three RBIs, Raelene Rangel went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Kayla Lorona was 1 for 2 with an RBI and three stolen bases, and Baylany Magana pitched a complete game to lead Oxnard (9-3, 6-0) to a 12-4 win over San Marcos in a Channel League game.

  • Siena Lightcap went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, Tessa Denger was 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Yaya Landeros went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Adrianna Rodriguez was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Jayla Raya went 2 for 2 with two RBIs to lead Ventura (7-4-1, 4-2) to a 14-2, five-inning win over Pacifica in a Channel League game.

  • Jasmine Reyes allowed one run while striking out seven in a complete-game performance and went 1 for 2 at the plate, Hailey Olivera had a homer and three RBIs, and Sarah Coccillos was 2 for 2 with a double to lead unbeaten Rio Mesa (10-0) to a 4-1 win over Gahr in the Gold Bracket of the TNT Tournament.

  • Amanda Baldwin went 3 for 3 with a grand slam and five RBIs, Cambria Finnegan went 2 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs, Sydney Katz was 2 for 3 with three RBIs, Samy Gallegos was 2 for 3, and Savannah Branham went 1 for 3 with an RBI to lead Westlake (10-2) to a 12-4 victory over St. Bonaventure in a nonleague game. Hallie Barlow went 3 for 4, Leea Martinez was 2 for 5 with an RBI and Audrina Tinoco went 2 for 3 for the Seraphs (10-1-1).

  • Sienna Reynolds went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs and allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out eight in a complete-game effort in the circle, Breanna Borck was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, and Janelle Rillo-Figueroa and Lily Knox each had a double and an RBI to lead Oaks Christian (8-2) to a 10-2 win over North Torrance in a nonleague game.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • Caleb Eschenberg finished with 13 kills and three blocks, Nolan Higa had 12 kills, 16 assists and an ace, Houston Hull had 10 kills, and Ryker Daniels had four aces and 15 assists as Newbury Park improved to 4-0 in the Marmonte League with a 25-22, 25-17, 25-18 sweep of Calabasas.

  • Thousand Oaks outlasted Westlake, 26-28, 25-16, 25-27, 25-22, 15-12 in a Marmonte League match.

BOYS LACROSSE

  • Agoura beat Newbury Park 15-2 to improve to 7-1 on the season.

GIRLS LACROSSE

  • Newbury Park defeated Oak Park 11-10 to remain undefeated at 4-0.
