Friday's OSAA baseball and softball quarterfinal scores

The OSAA baseball and softball state playoffs heat up with the quarterfinals Friday.

Winners in all classifications will advance to next week’s state semifinals.

6A BASEBALL — JESUIT 11, SPRAGUE 1

Sprague’s baseball season came to an end with the OSAA Class 6A state quarterfinal loss to Jesuit.

Jesuit now advances to the state semifinals against North Medford.

6A BASEBALL — WEST LINN 4, MCNARY 1

McNary’s baseball team’s season ended with an OSAA Class 6A state quarterfinal loss at West Linn.

West Linn now faces Lake Oswego in the state semifinals.

6A SOFTBALL — SOUTH MEDFORD 2, SOUTH SALEM 1

South Salem’s softball season came to an end with a close loss in the OSAA Class 6A state quarterfinals to South Medford.

With the win, South Medford next will face the winner of Southridge and Oregon City in the state semifinals.

5A SOFTBALL — DALLAS 9, LA SALLE 0

The Dallas softball team advanced to the OSAA Class 5A state semifinals with the win against La Salle.

The Dragons next will face Wilsonville in Tuesday’s state semifinals.

4A SOFTBALL — SCAPPOOSE 4, STAYTON 1

Stayton’s softball season came to an end with the OSAA Class 4A state quarterfinal loss to Scappoose.

Scappoose next will face The Dalles in the state semifinals.

3A SOFTBALL — SCIO 8, VALLEY CATHOLIC 1

Scio’s softball team cruises into the OSAA Class 3A state semifinals with the win against Valley Catholic.

Scio next will face Lakeview is the state semifinals.

2A/1A BASEBALL — LOCALS

Kennedy beat Heppner 12-0, and St. Paul beat Knappa 1-0 to set up a state semifinal matchup between the Trojans and Buckaroos.

On the other side of the bracket, Blanchet beat Reedsport 21-1 to advance to the state semifinals against Umpqua Valley Christian.

The semifinal games are set for Tuesday.

2A/1A SOFTBALL — LOCALS

Kennedy beat Lowell 13-0, and Willamina beat Blanchet 7-5, as both teams advance to Tuesday’s state semifinals.

Kennedy will face Grant Union, and Willamina will face Weston-McEwen.
