Is Friday's Crew MLS match free to watch? Here's how to stream Columbus vs NYCFC

After having almost two weeks to digest a loss in the CONCACAF Champions Cup final, the Crew return to MLS regular-season action in a rare Friday matchup.

Continuing their long stretch of road matches, the Crew will be at Yankee Stadium to face New York City FC for the first time this season. Despite Columbus' most recent game resulting in a loss, the club is going into this upcoming match riding a three-game MLS winning streak.

A key player who was missing for the Crew during those three games was striker Cucho Hernandez. The match against NYCFC is expected to be his first appearance in an MLS match in over a month. He made his return from a back injury in the Champions Cup final against CF Pachuca.

Due to having to reschedule two matches for the title match, the Crew have fallen behind in MLS games played and are sitting in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings with 24 points in 14 matches. NYCFC is in third with 29 points in 16 matches played.
