Four-star WR Aaron Butler on recent Colorado visit: ‘The energy and the vibe there was crazy’
You can add Aaron Butler to the long list of recruits who’ve been impressed by Colorado’s turnaround.
The four-star class of 2024 wide receiver out of Calabasas, California took a visit to Boulder earlier in March and although 247Sports still projects him to land at Georgia, there’s no reason to rule out the Buffs.
“The energy and the vibe there was crazy,” Butler told 247Sports’ Greg Biggins of his CU visit. “So much has changed now but I really had a good time, I loved it there.”
Butler, a former USC commit who included the Buffs in his top-five back in April, added that he spoke with offensive coordinator Sean Lewis, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and CB/WR Travis Hunter during his visit.
“I like Sean Lewis a lot, he’s a great OC and has a great reputation. They’re going to throw the ball around and he told me he really needs someone like me who can stretch the field and run after the catch. I talked with Shedeur (Sanders) too and he told me I could be the missing piece for them so I have real interest in them right now.”
Butler’s recruitment remains wide open with visits at Oregon and Georgia scheduled for April. He also plans on coming back to Boulder for the Buffs’ sold-out spring game on April 22, per Biggins.
The Buffs and head coach Deion Sanders are still looking for their first 2024 WR commitment, and kicking off that position group with Butler wouldn’t be a bad start.
