Four-star guard Deron Rippey is excited about Rutgers basketball’s growth, recaps recent visit
Deron Rippey took an unofficial visit to Rutgers in February and walked away with some strong impressions about the program and head coach Steve Pikiell.
A four-star guard out of Blair Academy (Blairstown, New Jersey), Rippey is the No. 39 recruit in the nation in the 247Sports Composite. He is the fifth-ranked player in New Jersey in the 2026 recruiting class.
In February, Rippey took a visit to Rutger for an 82-52 win over Michigan. It gave him a chance to interact with Pikiell as well as assistant coach Steve Hayn. An offer came in for Rippey following the game.
