Former USC QB Kedon Slovis is invited to the NFL scouting combine
Kedon Slovis has been named one of the 14 quarterbacks invited to the NFL scouting combine. The former USC Trojan, who went to Pitt and then ended his collegiate career as a BYU Cougar, will try to get on the board as a Day 3 pick for the upcoming 2024 NFL draft. It isn’t realistic for him to expect a Day 2 draft spot.
Slovis was sidelined for the final four games of the 2023 season due to multiple injuries on his throwing arm. He finished his one season at BYU with 1,716 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, six interceptions, and a completion rate of 57.5%.
At USC Kedon Slovis replaced J.T. Daniels but then was sidelined by an injury and was replaced by Jaxson Dart. Clay Helton was fired in 2021. Lincoln Riley was brought in with Caleb Williams in the 2021-2022 offseason. Slovis transferred to Pitt and then BYU. It has been a wild ride.
If drafted, Slovis would be the third consecutive BYU starting quarterback to be selected in the NFL, following Zach Wilson and Jaren Hall.
