The top scorer for Oregon State men's basketball from last season has decided on his next career stop.

On Wednesday, former Beavers' star Jordan Pope announced that he has committed to transfer to Texas. After entering the transfer portal earlier this month, the 6-foot-2 junior guard chose the Longhorns over Texas A&M.

In 29 games last season, Pope led the Beavers with 17.7 points per game on 45% shooting, including 37% from three-point range. He also tallied 3.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game.

Pope earned all-conference honorable mention honors and was the offensive focal point for an OSU squad that has been decimated by portal departures this offseason. Earlier this week, standout forward Tyler Bilodeau announced his commitment to UCLA.

In addition to Pope and Bilodeau, senior guard Dexter Akanno, senior center Chol Marial, senior guard Christian Wright, senior guard Justin Rochelin, junior center K.C. Ibekwe, and junior forward Jayden Stevens have all opted to enter the portal.

Meanwhile, Oregon State has landed transfer commitments from junior forward Parsa Fallah (Southern Utah) and senior guard Damarco Minor (Southern Illinois-Edwardsville) this month.

Incoming freshman Ja'Quavis Williford, a 3-star signee in the 2024 class, also committed to the Beavers earlier this month.

Oregon State went 13-19 during the 2023-24 season and finished last in the Pac-12 with a 5-15 conference record.
