Jock Landale and Mikal Bridges aren't Phoenix Suns teammates anymore, but they still like making fun of each other as many people watch them.

They exchanged snarky tweets on Friday when The Athletic posted its article titled "Mikal Bridges Is An Inspiration To Prospects At NBA Combine." Several of the league's draft prospects at this week's Combine in Chicago spoke about how they want to model their skills and career after the former Sun, who now plays for the Brooklyn Nets.

During his 4½ years in Phoenix, Bridges emerged from a starting role player and last season's Defensive Player of the Year runner-up to the Brooklyn Nets' leading scorer, after Phoenix traded him and Cam Johnson in a deal to obtain Kevin Durant in February.

The Suns' backup big Landale set off the Twitter banter by quoting on top of The Athletic's tweet, and he included Bridges' personal Twitter handle.

"He’s cool as a player just don’t try being like Mikal Bridges as a person. He’s garbage," Landale said with a trash can emoji at the end.

Bridges replied, "Do I know you????"

Landale immediately responded, "Damn. Dude starts dropping 40 balls and forgets. Dog." He referred to when Bridges exploded for his career-high 45 points in his third game with Brooklyn on Feb. 15, and two other times Bridges scored over 40 a few weeks before this postseason.

Bridges answered Landale's comment with many laughing emojis, "Don't pull this card ... "

Both players know it's all love, no beef.

For people who didn't pick up on Bridges and Landale not taking each other seriously, their kiddish behavior toward one another dates back to the Suns training camp last September.

One example was Bridges telling the media he refused to try the thick, dark brown condiment vegemite from Landale's native Australia, which Landale spoke about during his first few days practicing with the team.

"Keep it at home. I'm OK." Bridges said to Landale while laughing. "Maybe I will."

He added with a sly grin and side-eye directed at Landale, "I like Jock, sometimes."

Seems like they're still getting along from a distance all the time.
