Former Dayton Flyer TE Adam Trautman traded to Denver

Former Dayton Flyer tight end Adam Trautman was traded to the Denver Broncos over the weekend during the NFL Draft.

The Broncos sent a sixth-round pick to the Saints in the deal in exchange for Trautman and a seventh-round pick.

The picks were used in this year’s draft.

Trautman played three seasons for the Saints from 2020-2022, playing the first two seasons under Sean Payton, the current head coach at Denver.

He has 60 career catches for 641 yards and four touchdowns. His best season came in 2021 when he had 27 catches for 253 yards and two scores.

Trautman played at UD from 2015-2019, finishing with 171 catches for 2,295 yards and 31 touchdowns. As a senior, he caught 70 passes for 916 yards and 14 scores.

He was drafted by the Saints in 2020, the first Dayton Flyer since 1977.

The Flyers wished Trautman luck on social media Saturday.
