Former Boston Celtic Kelly Olynyk once ate an entire burrito in three bites

Most fans of the Boston Celtics who have been following at least since the start of the team’s last rebuild know former Celtics center Kelly Olynyk is not a small guy by any stretch of the imagination.

The 6-foot-11 Canadian big man is known for his ability to consume vast numbers of calories in a very brief time, a skill that has made the Kamloops, British Columbia native a bit of a legend among Boston fans. The former Celtic once ate an entire adult-size burrito in three bites.

Now reunited with his former general manager in Boston and fellow former Celtics Danny Ainge on the roster of the Utah Jazz, we imagine the onetime Gonzaga standout has been finding plenty of fare in Salt Lake City to Hoover up with the quickness.

But if you would like to hear the story of Olynyk and the nearly invisible burrito for yourself, check out the clip embedded below to hear the tale from the hosts of the “First to the Floor” podcast and their guest, NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin.
