Former Alabama PG Jaden Bradley visiting with the Memphis Tigers

The Alabama men’s basketball program will look much different in 2023 than it did this past year. The Tide lost all three assistant coaches to head coaching opportunities this off-season and the roster was purged by the NBA draft as well as the transfer portal.

One of the most surprising departures was former four-star recruit, Jaden Bradley. Coming out of high school, Bradly was a McDonald’s All-American as well as a top-25 player in the 2022 recruiting cycle. He was one of the biggest recruits Nate Oats has landed during his tenure in Tuscaloosa so it is definitely a tough loss for the Tide.

Bradley averaged 19.8 minutes a game and was good for 6.4 PPG and 3.1 APG. However, his inconsistency from the field was his downfall as he shot under 40% in 2022-2023.

Even though they are going through the NBA draft process, Oats is optimistic that Mark Sears and Jahvon Quinerly will return to Alabama next season. Bradley read the writing on the wall that he might get buried in the depth chart and has decided to pursue other options.

Earlier in the week Bradley met with North Carolina State, but today he will be meeting with the Memphis Tigers. With Penny Hardaway at the helm Memphis has become a very attractive landing spot for a lot of guys in the portal and I wouldn’t be shocked if this is where Bradley lands.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor Jaden Bradley’s potential transfer locations.
