Football roundup: No. 9 BBE piles up the yards in big win

Oct. 6—BELGRADE — Be it by air or by ground, nothing was stopping Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa's offense on Friday.

Hosting Browerville/Eagle Valley for homecoming at BBE High School, the Jaguars outgained the visiting Tigers 407-84 in a 42-6 Mid Northwest Gopher-Gold District football game.

BBE remains undefeated at 6-0 and is ranked ninth in Class A. The Jaguars have out-scored opponents 254-79.

BBE led 16-0 through one quarter after touchdown runs by Jack Lundberg and Toby Cebulla.

As a team, the Jaguars ran for 229 yards and had four different players score on the ground. Ethan Mueller was the top rusher with 72 yards on eight carries.

After Browerville/Eagle Valley scored in the second quarter, the Jaguars put in two more scores before halftime on a Braeden Michaels 6-yard run and a 9-yard pass from Luke Dingmann to Brett DeRoo.

Dingmann and DeRoo connected for two scores. DeRoo caught three balls for 43 yards. Dingmann completed 10 of 15 passes for 144 yards. He also ran for 24 yards on three attempts.

BBE next plays at 7 p.m. Friday at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City scored all 60 of its points before Long Prairie-Grey Eagle got on the board as the Falcons cruised to a victory at Grove City.

ACGC ran for 432 yards, led by a 228-yard, three-touchdown effort from Jevon Williams. Quarterback Kyler Pickle had four touchdowns (two rushing, two passing) and accounted for 149 yards.

The Falcons head to Murdock to play Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg at 7 p.m. next Friday.

West Central Area improved to 3-3 with a Mid Northwest-Gopher Gold victory over Benson at Barrett.

WCA is 2-3 in Gopher Gold play. Benson falls to 1-4 in divisional play and 1-5 overall.

Benson plays host to Upsala/Swanville Area at 7 p.m. Friday.

Upsala/Swanville slid past Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in a Mid Northwest-Gopher Gold divisional matchup to hand the Fighting Saints their first loss of the season at Upsala.

KMS (5-1) is host to Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City at 7 p.m. Friday in Murdock.

New London-Spicer ran for 320 yards and six touchdowns on 46 carries to trounce Glencoe-Silver Lake at Glencoe.

Mason Delzer led the Wildcats' running back crew. The senior ran for 157 yards and four touchdowns on 15 attempts.

Ethan Holme and Nolan Johnson punched in NLS' other two rushing touchdowns. Holme's went for a yard and gave the Wildcats a 7-0 advantage. Johnson's put NLS up 48-12 before a safety gave the Wildcats a 50-12 lead.

Wildcats junior quarterback Blake Schultz went 7 of 9 through the air for 138 yards. His one passing touchdown went for 58 yards to senior wide receiver Luke Knudsen.

NLS plays host to St. Cloud Apollo at 7 p.m. Friday in New London.

Fifth-ranked (Class AAA) Litchfield built a 49-0 lead en route to a win against host Watertown-Mayer at Watertown.

Garrison Jackman threw three touchdowns passes to Ethan Holtz, Jack McCann and Durant Lara. Jackman completed 12 of 13 passes for 207 yards.

Along with catching three balls for 110 yards, McCann also had an interception return for a score.

Litchfield is host to Glencoe-Silver Lake at 7 p.m. next Friday.

Montevideo ran for 348 yards in a victory against Minnewaska at Glenwood.

Francis O'Malley led the Thunder Hawks' ground game with 235 yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries. Landon Olson added 68 yards and a score on 10 attempts.

Levi Johnson threw for three touchdowns for the Lakers. He completed 8 of 13 passes for 179 yards.

Montevideo next plays at 7 p.m. Friday at Pierz. Minnewaska next plays at 7 p.m. Friday at Albany.

Osakis moves to 5-1 after rolling through Paynesville at Osakis.

The Bulldogs are now 1-5 on the season.

Kaden Molden scored two touchdowns in Lac qui Parle Valley's home win over MACCRAY at Madison.

Molden scored on a 1-yard run in the first half, then followed up with a 20-yard TD reception from quarterback Davis Patzer.

Sebastian Cisneros scored the Wolverines' lone touchdown on a 59-yard run in the second quarter. He ran for 79 yards on 12 carries.

LPQV's next game is at 7 p.m. Thursday at Minneota. MACCRAY is host to Dawson-Boyd at 7 p.m. Thursday at Maynard.

BOLD built up a 31-0 halftime lead on the way to a shutout victory against Yellow Medicine East at Granite Falls.

The Warriors are ranked fourth in Class A.

BOLD's next game is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against Lakeview at Cottonwood. YME is also on the road, playing at 7 p.m. Thursday at Canby.

Gunner Liebl accounted for two of Dawson-Boyd's touchdowns in a victory over Canby at R.B. Clay Field at Dawson.

Liebl opened up the scoring with a 16-yard TD pass to Drew Hjelmeland. Then in the second quarter, Liebl ran in a 2-yard score.

Liebl completed 10 of 18 passes for 83 yards while also running for 39 yards on 13 carries.

Dawson-Boyd next plays at 7 p.m. Thursday at Maynard against MACCRAY.
