Florida softball live score updates in 2024 SEC Tournament Quarterfinal vs Georgia
The Florida softball team ended the regular season on cloud nine.
The Gators won five in a row to end the season, including a sweep of then-No. 8 Texas A&M at home last weekend.
But UF knows as well as any that it doesn't matter if you can't deliver in the postseason.
For Florida, that postseason journey begins Friday.
The second-seeded Gators will open SEC Tournament play in the quarterfinals vs No. 7 seed Georgia.
The game was originally scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, but inclement weather in Auburn moved it to 10 a.m. Friday.
Georgia already played one game on the plains — a 14 inning thrilling 6-5 win with UGA's Sarah Gordon hitting the walk off home run.
UF took two of three from Georgia two weeks ago in Athens.
The winner faces the winner of Friday's last quarterfinal — No. 3 Texas A&M vs No. 11 South Carolina. The Gators swept the Aggies and won two of three from the Gamecocks three weeks ago.
