Florida releases Week 5 depth chart ahead of Kentucky matchup

Florida was down a few players against Charlotte, but the Gators are getting three starters back for their Week 5 matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats, according to the official depth chart released on Wednesday.

Wide receiver Eugene “Tre” Wilson III is back starting for the Gators after dealing with a collarbone bruise that kept him sidelined for a game and a half. Wilson caught all six passes thrown his way against Tennessee before exiting. Getting him back on the field can only help Florida beat Kentucky.

The other starters returning this week are right guard Micah Mazzccua and center Kingsley Eguakun. The former sat the first half on Saturday due to a suspension and missed the second half as part of some in-house punishment.

Eguakun has been dealing with an ankle injury since fall camp. He rested last week, but he’ll be needed to help slow down a tough Wildcats defense.

On offense, wide receivers Marcus Burke and Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman are listed as questionable, and tight ends Tony Livingston and Dante Zanders are out.

Defensively, Florida isn’t changing anything. Linebacker Ja’Markis Weston will miss the game with an upper-body injury, and, once again, safety Kamari Wilson did not make the travel roster.

Trey Smack is listed as the kickoff man and placekicker for Florida after nailing all five of his field goal attempts and earning SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors against Charlotte.
