Florida baseball’s 2022 Gainesville Regional schedule

The journey to the 2022 College World Series begins on Friday for Florida baseball, which received a No. 13 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will host a regional round in Gainesville. Along with the Gators, the Central Michigan Chippewas, Liberty Flames and Oklahoma Sooners are slated to compete for a chance to advance and play the winner of the Blacksburg Regional.

Now that the full schedule is released, the Gator Nation can start planning out its weekend as their beloved Orange and Blue fight for their postseason lives in the Gainesville Regional. Florida will play Central Michigan first in Game 2 on Friday — the first of two double-elimination games — with a start time set for 6:30 p.m. EDT, followed by another game on Saturday with matchups that will be determined the day prior. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.

If the Gators manage to make it past the second opponent they will move on to Sunday’s single-elimination round; Monday will host a final single-elimination round if necessary.
