Five-star OL Josh Conerly Jr. releases his top schools, Texas is included

The Longhorns are still in the running for the top overall prospect from Washington in the 2022 recruiting class.

Five-star offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. released his top 12 schools on Tuesday and Texas was included. Oklahoma, USC, UCLA, Michigan, Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, Washington, California, Stanford and Arizona State were also mentioned.

Conerly is currently rated the No. 2 offensive tackle in the 2022 cycle and the No. 1 overall prospect in Washington according to 247Sports composite rankings.

He spoke with 247Sports recently to break down his top choices and had this to say about the Longhorns making the cut:

To go back, coach Sark (Steve Sarkisian) is the one who offered me at Alabama and it shows his commitment to me and really wanting to be a part of that team. And coach (Kyle) Flood, he had an Outland Trophy winner and he had the offensive line of the year, so you know he’s doing his job right.”

The 6-foot-5, 275-pound playmaker currently has a crystal ball prediction in favor of Washington.
