'I felt like a failure': Tyler Goodson, Gardner Minshew share responsibility on Colts' final play

Tyler Goodson didn't get a lot of action Saturday night, and he's despondent over last Indianapolis Colts offensive play of the season.

Goodson went left for a screen pass on 4th-and-1 at the Houston 15-yard line with less than a minute left. Gardner Minshew's pass was behind Goodson but hit him in the hands, then fell to the turf.

The Colts' offense never got the ball back in a 23-19 loss that ends their season at 9-8.

"I felt like a failure," a teary Goodson said in the locker room postgame. "I know I'm not a failure, but that's what I felt like. ... I'll never do that again."

Minshew took equal responsibility in his postgame news conference for the pass being a little behind Goodson.

“I wish I’d put a better ball on him,” Minshew said.
