Fans flock to social media after Lakers hire Frank Vogel, Jason Kidd

The Los Angeles Lakers finally have their new coach.

The Lakers hired former Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic coach Frank Vogel on Saturday afternoon, reportedly reaching a three-year deal. Vogel will take over for Luke Walton, who split with the organization just days after the regular season ended.

The news, naturally, sent the basketball world flocking to social media.

Jason Kidd is also joining Vogel’s staff in a “prominent assistant coaching role,” following his more than three-year stint with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Fans had plenty of opinions about that hire, too.
