Falls Library provides free access to period products

The Cuyahoga Falls Library now offers free period products, providing customers convenient access to organic pads and tampons during their visit.

"One of our strategic goals is to maximize physical accessibility and services. This initiative is an extension of this goal by helping to remove barriers to library usage," said Customer Experience Manager Elizabeth Morrison. "With easy access to period products, library patrons may continue their work uninterrupted. Patrons visit the library to apply for jobs, receive training, socialize with peers, or bring their families to educational programs."

Menstrual products are available at the library in self-serve Aunt Flow dispensers in the women's and family restrooms. Informational signage is also posted in the men's restrooms.

The addition of free period products at Cuyahoga Falls Library continues a trend toward equity among Ohio libraries and organizations. Others include Akron-Summit Public Library, Bierce Library at the University of Akron, Columbus Metropolitan Library and Akron City Hall.
