How will Colorado's chemistry develop?

One of the vital components of last year’s “Rise” was the chemistry that the Buffs built up, and it was clear that they had a strong locker room.

This year, there’s no reason to believe that anything will be different. Last year’s seniors left their mark on the Buffs locker room, and six well respected captains were selected - running back Phillip Lindsay, tight end/defensive end George Frazier, outside linebacker Derek McCartney, safety Afolabi Laguda, inside linebacker Rick Gamboa, and offensive lineman Jeremy Irwin.

But with a team that is very senior heavy, and many guys trying to make a lasting impression on NFL scouts, how do you ensure that everyone continues to play for the team rather than themselves? It starts with leadership, having several players both keeping guys focused on a day-to-day basis, and setting the tone for what the expectation is for the Colorado football program. Colorado has that on their roster, and the leadership that Mike MacIntyre provides is second to none.

Last year's theme was "The Rise" and the theme this year seems to be "Never Stop Rising." Stay tuned, CU Buffs' fans.
