Every player in Philadelphia 76ers history who has worn No. 50

The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the older franchises in the NBA with their history spanning all the way back to the 1949-50 season. With that much time under their belt in the NBA, they have had a ton of players come through and make their impact on the City of Brotherly Love.

With it now being the offseason, now is a time to go through some of that Sixers history. In this edition, Sixers Wire is going to make a list of the 10 players who have worn the No. 50 jersey in the history of the franchise. This will be a running series to go through all of the uniform numbers worn for Philadelphia.

The latest edition of this series was a list compiling the two players who have worn the No. 51.

With that being said, here are those three players who wore No. 50:

Ed Peterson, 1949-1950

Peterson played 79 games for the then-Syracuse Nationals before he was traded to the Tri-Cities Blackhawks. He averaged 7.2 points and shot 42.8% from the floor while wearing No. 50. He switched to No. 13 in his second season in Syracuse before the trade.

Mix was an All-Star in the 1974-75 season when he averaged 15.6 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. He did spend nine seasons with the Sixers averaging 11.3 points and 5.6 rebounds. He changed his uniform number to 23 in the 1980-81 season.

MacCulloch had two different stints with the Sixers and he wore two different uniform numbers. He wore No. 50 when he helped the Sixers make the NBA Finals in 2001 when he averaged 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds off the bench in the playoffs and he came back and wore No. 11 in the 2002-03 season. He had to retire after that due to chronic foot problems.

Ratliff also had two stints with Philadelphia with two different uniform numbers. He wore No. 42 in his initial stint and then wore No. 50 in the 2008-09 season where he averaged 1.9 points and 1.8 rebounds while helping Philadelphia make the playoffs.

Lavoy Allen, 2011-2014

Allen was a key piece of the 2011-12 Sixers being able to upset the Chicago Bulls in Round 1 and come to within a game of the Eastern Conference finals. He averaged 6.3 points and 4.9 rebounds during those playoffs and his defense against Celtics star Kevin Garnett was impressive.

Aaron Henry, 2021-22
