ESPN's 'College GameDay' heading to Kansas for first time
You win, and they'll come.
The story of unbeaten Kansas (5-0) is bringing ESPN's beloved college football pre-game show, "College GameDay", to Lawrence, Kansas ahead of the TCU (4-0) matchup on Oct. 8. ESPN and Kansas both announced the news hours after the Jayhawks held off Iowa State 14-11 on Saturday. This will be the first time Kansas is featured on "GameDay" at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
"Let’s make this the best College Gameday ever Jayhawks!" Jayhawks deputy athletic director for external affairs and revenue generation Jason Booker tweeted. "Incredible opportunity to shine a light on this team, our campus and the Lawrence community. Rock Chalk!"
The Jayhawks' game against the Horned Frogs is scheduled to kick off at noon ET and air on FS1. It'll be the seventh stop for "College GameDay" this year, following a matchup Saturday between Clemson and North Carolina State in Clemson, South Carolina. The show last featured the Big 12 Conference Sept. 10 in Austin for Texas' game against Alabama.

Kansas wasn't ranked in the top 25 of the USA TODAY Coaches Poll at the time of the show's announcement, but almost certainly will be by the time the game against TCU comes around. The Jayhawks were just outside of the Top 25 heading into the matchup against the Cyclones.
"A battle of the unbeatens," is the way "College GameDay" described the upcoming matchup in a post on Twitter.
