ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith: No team looks better than the Celtics right now

Given the Boston Celtics are not a team from New York City and that ESPN broadcaster Stephen A. Smith is suggesting they are the hottest team in the league at the moment, that should be indicative of just how good the Celtics have become in the second half of the season given Smith’s predilection for teams hailing from the Big Apple.

But then given they have become the winningest team since the turn of the new year with a league-leading defense and a top-10 offense, it’s not that hard to fathom why the ESPN personality would say such a thing about Boston’s play of late.

Smith had plenty to say about the Celtics in a recent episode of “First Take” after Boston racked up another win against the Charlotte Hornets behind Jayson Tatum’s 44-point game

Watch the clip embedded above to hear all that Smith has to say about the Celtics as we head into the meat of the stretch run.
