Erie High, Union City and Fairview students win latest Athlete of the Week polls

An Erie High soccer player, Union City volleyball player and Fairview football player were latest winners in Erie County Athlete of the Week voting.

The Royals' Asher Plonski was the Male Athlete of the Week winner. The Bears' Brooke VanTassel topped the Female Athlete of the Week poll, as did Tigers' quarterback Vinnie Campoli for Football Player of the Week.

Erie County Athlete of the Week ballots are nearing their end for District 10's fall sports season. Voting will end early next month, but then resume in December when PIAA winter sports commence.

The polls are sponsored by Seaway Window and AHN.

Readers can nominate an athlete for the polls by sending an email to sports@timesnews.com, with “Athlete of the Week nominee” in the subject line. Please include the athlete’s school, sport, year in school and specifics of why they’re being nominated.

Although we don’t promise all nominees will be used, we will consider them.
