Emre Can has given Liverpool hope he will commit his future to Anfield after insisting he has not yet decided to join Juventus.

There are claims in Italy the German has already signed a pre-contract agreement with the Turin club, enabling him to move to Serie A on a free Bosman deal when his current contract expires at the end of the season.

Liverpool have been trying to negotiate fresh terms with the 24 year-old, and Can has not ruled out the possibility of staying.

“I haven’t signed anything (with Juventus) or anyone. I am talking with everyone,” said Can.

“Of course I am talking with Liverpool. Why not? I still have a contract here. It is an amazing club. What can I say? My agent does the rest. I just concentrate on the scene, on my performance and the football. I will give everything for this team.”

To lose Can without a fee would be huge setback for the Merseyside club and manager Jurgen Klopp. Can arguably gave one of his most complete midfield performances against Manchester City and having given him so much experience in a developing team, he is primed to step up as Klopp’s side peaks.

Can agreed the win over City was one of the most satisfying of the Klopp era.

“It was unbelievable. Brilliant, really. Unbelievable how we pressed,” said Can.

"I think it was the best game in terms of how I saw it. We played against Manchester City, you don’t have to forget that. We were always on the front foot, everyone pressing and everyone did a brilliant job.

“We have played a lot of games that are very good. But this one? I don’t know how many kilometres we ran. It was one of the best we have done, for sure.”

Can feels other teams will have taken note of Liverpool’s form, a message sent that the club can still challenge for honours this season with the FA Cup and Champions League the target.

“If the teams saw us playing like that, they we will give us a lot of respect and we will take a lot of confidence,” he said.

“If teams watch our performance they will think 'oh wow!' They will see we are a strong side. But this is just one game. It is just three points and we have to keep going.”
