'This s--- is embarrassing': Kirk Herbstreit blasts Cincinnati Reds' offense

Football analyst Kirk Herbstreit, a self-described diehard Cincinnati Reds fan, tweeted about the team's recent offensive struggles after a 2-1 loss Saturday night to the Baltimore Orioles at Great American Ball Park.

"Know it’s a LONGGGGGG season but are the @Reds allowed to get more than 4 hits a game?" Herbstreit tweeted. "Or is there a new rule the NL instituted this year I’m unaware of?? Just curious cause this s--- is embarrassing!"

In May 2022, Herbstreit tweeted that he was "very sad" the Reds were already "essentially mathematically eliminated" after a rough start to the season.

In April 2018, he tweeted that it was "like the year's over and we're eight games in."
