Elliot Cadeau draws praise by ESPN analyst, moves up in rankings

The North Carolina Tar Heels received some good news last week when five-star recruit Elliot Cadeau announced he was reclassifying from 2024 to 2023 and enrolling in June. The point guard gives UNC another option at the guard spot as Cadeau has shown he is ready for the next level.

As a 2024 recruit, Cadeau was among the best players in the country. And that will stay the same as he heads into the 2023 class.

ESPN analyst Paul Biancardi praised Cadeau after he made his decision, saying he will be a ‘tremendous boost’ to the Tar Heels. He also revealed that Cadeau will be ranked No. 13 in the 2023 rankings on ESPN:

This isn’t the first time Cadeau has been praised and likely won’t be the last time either. In addition to moving up in the 2023 rankings on ESPN, Cadeau is also a top 15 player in the class on 247Sports as well.

Watching Cadeau on the AAU circuit, you can see the reasoning for him being the No. 2 point guard in this class behind only the top player in the country, Isaiah Collier. And let’s hope Cadeau can bring that type of play to Chapel Hill early in his career.
