All Elite Wrestling unveiled Kenny Omega as its latest signing at its ticket announcement party for Double or Nothing in Las Vegas on Thursday (February 7).

Omega became the hottest free agent in the business at the end of January when his contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling expired.

His last match with NJPW took place at Wrestle Kingdom 13 on January 4, when he lost the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Hiroshi Tanahashi. Days later, in an interview with Tokyo Sports, Omega announced he was taking a hiatus from NJPW.

Omega will also serve as an executive vice president of the company, alongside Cody and The Young Bucks

Omega was seen on the most recent episode of Being the Elite hearing a ticking noise on his phone, similar to the one Cody and The Young Bucks had heard before the announcement of AEW on January 1.

Omega joins a roster which already includes Cody, The Young Bucks, PAC, Hangman' Adam Page, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian MJF, Joey Janela, Jimmy Havoc and Jungle Boy.

The roster also includes Chris Jericho, who came out to confront Omega, setting up a rematch between them for Double or Nothing.

Also unveiled on Thursday were Sonny Kiss, The Best Friends Chuckie T and Trent Barreta, Aja Kong, Nyla Rose, Kylie Rae and The Lucha Bros’, who attacked The Young Bucks.

Hangman Page vs PAC was also made official for Double or Nothing.

Prior to the party, AEW revealed that it had formed an alliance with Mexican promotion AAA.

The news was announced in a video posted to Twitter featuring AAA’s Dorian Roldán, who promised the partnership would bring an ‘exchange of talent’ and ‘surprise people’.

The AAA alliance follows the previous announcement of a working relationship with China’s Oriental Wrestling Entertainment.

Double or Nothing will take place on Saturday, May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Registration at AllEliteWrestling.com is now open for a pre-sale that will begin on Monday, February 11.
