Eighteen players named to All-281 Conference team, six others receive honorable mention

Six players from Wolsey-Wessington hAVE been honored on the All-281 Conference volleyball team.

Seniors Lainey Uttecht and Kailyn Dorris made the first team for Warbirds. Junior Samara Clemente and sophomore Kendal Uttecht each made the second team and Payton Kemnitz the third team. Shae Uttecht received honorable mention.

Other first-team selections are Hitchcock-Tulare juniors Katelyn Schroeder and Ella Johnson, Wessington Springs junior Avery Orth and James Valley Christian freshman Addy Knight.

The second team included seniors Alyssa Grohs of Wessington Springs and Rebecca Bich of Iroquois-Lake Preston and sophomores Cambree Hoekman of Hitchcock-Tulare and Liz Boschee of Sanborn Central-Woonsocket.

Rounding out the third team are seniors Kendall Cermak of Highmore-Harrold, Kennadie Ochsner of Sanborn Central-Woonsocket and Faith Steffensen of Iroquois-Lake Preston; junior Kaylie Robinson of James Valley Christian; and sophomore Cora Hofer of James Valley Christian.

Also receiving honorable mention are seniors Kenidey Effling of Highmore-Harrold, Elene Campagnolo of Iroquois-Lake Preston and Raylee Fagerhaug of Wessington Springs; junior Isabel Gilbert of Hitchcock-Tulare; and freshman Lila Johnson of Hitchcock-Tulare.
