Mar 22, 2024; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Colorado Buffaloes center Eddie Lampkin Jr. (44) and guard J'Vonne Hadley (1) react in the second half against the Florida Gators in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament at Gainbridge FieldHouse.

Eddie Lampkin Jr. plans to enter the transfer portal after one historic Colorado men's basketball season, according to On3 and CBSSports.

The Buffaloes' starting center became a vocal leader after transferring from TCU and was one of two players to appear in every game for Colorado this season (KJ Simpson was the other). Lampkin Jr. averaged 10.6 points and seven rebounds, which included an impressive showing in March Madness.

Across three NCAA Tournament games, Lampkin Jr. averaged 15.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists. The 6-foot-11 big man dropped 21 points, six rebounds and five assists during the Buffs' first-round win over Florida.

Lampkin Jr.'s exit was just the first offseason domino to fall for Colorado men's basketball after it won a program-record 26 games and won back-to-back NCAA Tournament games for the first time since 1955.

J'Vonne Hadley, who played in every game but one this season for the Buffs, is also entering the transfer portal, according to On3.

The 6-foot-6 guard was second on the team in minutes played (34.3 per game) behind Simpson and averaged 11.6 points and six rebounds. Hadley, a former junior college standout, will be searching for his fourth team in five years.

Starters Tristan da Silva (a projected first-round NBA draft pick) and Luke O'Brien (who also entered the transfer portal on Wednesday) went through senior day activities and have played their last games for Colorado. Starting point guard KJ Simpson, a junior, is also a projected first-round draft pick and will likely test the NBA waters after a first-team All-Pac-12 campaign. Star freshman Cody Williams is surely headed to the NBA as a projected lottery pick.

Expect freshmen Bangot Dak and Assane Diop to step into bigger frontcourt roles for Colorado next season, but one thing is for certain: The Buffs will look much different in 2024-25 as they transition into the Big 12.
