ECU baseball score vs. Oklahoma in NCAA regionals: Live updates

East Carolina baseball earned an at-large berth to the Charlottesville Regional, where the Pirates are paired with host Virginia, Oklahoma and Army — all looking to emerge from the double-elimination bracket and move on to super regionals.

No. 2-seeded ECU (45-17) begins regional play against No. 3-seeded Oklahoma (31-26) on Friday (7 p.m., ESPN2). It will be the first time these programs have met on the diamond.

The Pirates have won 40-plus games for five consecutive seasons, and they've won the American Athletic Conference regular-season title four years running. They've won their last three straight regionals, and their 33 NCAA Tournament appearances are the most by any team that hasn't won a College World Series.

The Sooners were the darlings of last year's postseason, making a run to the Big 12 Tournament title and pushing all the way to the CWS championship final where they fell to Ole Miss. This season, they squeaked into the NCAA field after winning 12 of their last 19 games.
