Early look: Delaware's high school baseball coaches select preseason All-State team
Sanford senior Brady Fox leads the preseason All-State team selected by the Delaware High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Fox made the preseason first team at three positions – as a pitcher, outfielder and utility player.
Caravel senior Tim Tyler and Concord senior Jackson LaPerle made the first team at two positions – Tyler as a pitcher and utility player and LaPerle as a pitcher and outfielder.
The final first-team pitcher is Cape Henlopen junior Brad Marks. The team was selected through the voting of DEBCA members.
Sussex Tech senior Kade Hall is the first-team catcher, with Sanford junior Luke Filliben and Caravel junior Orvy Potts at first base. William Penn sophomore Shawn Roy and Concord senior Jack Pope made the first team at second base, with Concord senior Andrew Firko and Sussex Central junior Jace Jarmon at shortstop and Middletown junior Frank Cruz at third base.
Sussex Tech junior Rosnell Lewis and Cape Henlopen senior Isaac Terhune join Fox and LaPerle as the first-team outfielders.
Dover senior Hunter Chambers is the first-team designated hitter, with Tyler and Fox topping the list of utility players.
Delaware’s high school baseball regular season begins Monday.
