Eagles to waive WR Devon Allen

The Eagles are waiving rookie wide receiver Devon Allen, according to Eliot Shorr Parks of 94WIP, but the team could sign the speedster to the practice squad.

Allen excelled as an outside gunner on special teams and caught a 55-yard touchdown in the second preseason game at Cleveland.

Philadelphia has until 4:00 PM EST on Tuesday to trim the roster to 53 players, including their newest safety, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.
