Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs calls Eagles QB Jalen Hurts the MVP
The two are former Alabama teammates and certainly friends, but Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs knew exactly what he was doing when he dropped a comment on Jalen Hurts’ Instagram page.
While celebrating Philadelphia’s hard-fought win in Chicago, Hurts dropped his weekly that talks about “finding a way to win” and other motivational quotes in the aftermath.
In the screenshot from Brandon Lee Gowton, that originated from Adam Herman of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Diggs calls Hurts the MVP.
It’s all ‘Rat Poison’ and Diggs knows that.
If you are not familiar with the term, Alabama head coach Nick Saban likes to drop the line on his players when advising them on the avoidance of “outside distractions.”
For Hurts, it’s a clear message that he’s not reading his press clippings or worried about doubters who believe the magic will suddenly dissipate.
For Diggs, it was a blatant trap to start out what should be an amazing week.
