E/K-M hoops teams place in Week 2 NDAPSSA polls
Dec. 4—JAMESTOWN — The Edgeley/Kulm-Montpelier Rebels boys and girls basketball teams have found themselves in the latest North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters basketball polls.
In the first Class B boys basketball poll, the Rebels come in at No. 5, ahead of their season opener at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, against Barnes County North. The Rebels find themselves one spot ahead of the Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Lions. Two teams received votes but did not get into the top 10, Medina/Pingree-Buchanan and South Border.
The Rebels girls hoops team came in at No. 7, dropping one spot in the latest Class B girls poll. The Rebels are coming off a loss to top-ranked Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich 61-55 on Dec. 1, to drop their record to 0-1.
There was one local team to receive votes as the 1-0 LaMoure/Litchville-Marion Loboes received votes but did not squeak into the poll. The Loboes opened their season with a 53-24 win over Richland on Nov. 28.
The Carrington Cardinals girls' basketball team received votes in the second Class A girls basketball poll after a 2-0.
