E/K-M girls, Linton-HMB boys move up in NDAPSSA hoops poll

Jan. 29—JAMESTOWN — The Linton/Hazleton-Moffit-Braddock Lions boys' basketball team moved closer to the top five as they come in at No. 6 in the latest North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Class B Basketball Polls.

The Lions rose one spot in the 10th boys' basketball poll and head into the new week with an 11-1 record. In their two wins last week, the Lions outscored their opponents 144-95. The Lions return to the court at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, when they host Hazen. Edgeley/Kulm-Montpelier and Ellendale alsoreceived votes.

Edgeley/Kulm-Montpelier moves up one spot from No. 8 to No. 7 in the latest girls' basketball poll after defeating Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock 58-27 on Saturday, Jan. 27. The Rebels put their 12-4 record on the line at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when they take on Wyndmere/Lidgerwood. Linton/Hazleton-Moffit-Braddock and Oakes also received votes.
