'Dynamite hire': Social media reacts to OU football targeting Zac Alley as Sooners' DC
NORMAN — It appears Brent Venables has already found his guy.
Just hours after OU parted ways with defensive coordinator Ted Roof on Thursday, numerous reports emerged that the program is expected to hire Zac Alley as his replacement.
Alley, 30, is the defensive coordinator at Jacksonville State. He also served as a student (2011-14) and graduate assistant (2015-18) at Clemson during Venables' time there.

I like the Zac Alley hire. Brent Venables bringing in a guy he clearly has full faith in to run HIS defense. Ted Roof always seemed like a stop gap type of hire. It makes you wonder if this was the plan in Brent’s mind all along.
