Dwight Freeney is elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Colts teammates react
Dwight Freeney is getting a gold jacket.
The pass rusher who flummoxed Indianapolis Colts opponents for more than a decade with a devastating spin move has been announced as a Pro Football Hall of Famer. He will be inducted on Aug. 5, 2024, in Canton, Ohio.
Freeney had 107.5 sacks in 11 years with the Colts and finished his career with 125.5 sacks, 26th in NFL history. He was a three-time first-team All-Pro who made seven Pro Bowls.
Freeney's former teammates reveled in his election.
