Draymond Green on why the Grizzlies aren’t a real rival for the Warriors

While Dillon Brooks did his best to extend his feud with Draymond Green after the Grizzlies eased to a 131-110 win on Thursday night, the four-time champion doesn’t believe the Warriors-Grizzlies matchup represents a real rivalry.

According to Green, the Grizzlies can only become the Warriors’ rival once the team wins something

“One team has to win, and then the other team has to win. That’s what creates a rivalry,” Green said. “Not because one team gets up for you and talk like they can beat you and then not. That doesn’t create a rivalry. Rivalries are created by ‘you win, I win.’ And clearly, we’ve won four times, and I think their organization has zero championships. So I can’t consider that a rivalry.”
