How Jaelan Phillips and the Dolphins' defense performed

Jaelan Phillips was the standout player on Miami's D in 11-on-11 drills against the Texans' offense. Phillips had two sacks and constant pressure on the quarterbacks. He had his way with tackle George Fast and continues to look like a player ready to be a force this season. (Phillips also appeared to have a third sack, but the last one originally credited to Phillips was corrected to Bradley Chubb).

The other player who stood out was inside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel. Van Ginkel had an interception against Davis Mills and also broke up two passes.

Elijah Campbell also recorded a pass break-up.

Zach Sieler batted down a ball.

Kader Kohou saw extended action and broke up a pass intended for Robert Woods.

The defense allowed a touchdown to tight end Dalton Schultz in red-zone drills. Schultz also caught a ball from C.J. Stout for a big gain over Campbell.

Raekwon Davis sacked Stroud.

Texans running backs broke a couple of runs for good gains.

Xavien Howard was called for pass interference.
