Dolphins parking lot fire damages 'several vehicles,' Miami Dade Fire Rescue investigating cause

A fire broke out in the parking lot of Hard Rock Stadium during the Miami Dolphins' win over the New England Patriots on Sunday. "Several cars" were damaged in the fire, a spokesperson told Local10.com.

Smoke from the fire could be seen during the game. Hard Rock Stadium was reportedly not in danger, and there were no injuries reported due to the fire.

Video emerged of firefighters extinguishing the fire in the parking lot. The video appears to show damage to multiple vehicles.

A spokesperson for the Miami Dade Fire Rescue said firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire, according to Local10.com.

“Around 1 pm, a vehicle fire began in a remote Hard Rock Stadium parking lot. Several vehicles were affected. Miami Dade Police Department and Miami Dade Fire Rescue were on the scene. The fire has been extinguished and is being investigated by Fire Rescue. No injuries have been reported and there is no current threat to the stadium.”

The fire occurred during the Dolphins' 20-7 win over the Patriots in Week 1.
