The Dodgers will honor Kobe Bryant’s memory on Sept. 1

The Los Angeles Dodgers are having a strong season as usual, and they have gotten a bit hot lately. They currently sit in first place in the National League West, and fans are thinking the team will have an excellent chance at winning the World Series.

The Dodgers have also been doing a good job of giving some love to the Los Angeles Lakers. They have started the habit of having an annual “Lakers Night,” and this year, they will be giving away a special gift to some lucky fans on Sept. 1.

The gift is a Dodgers jersey styled with Bryant’s No. 8 and No. 24, as well as a snake pattern throughout as a reference to his nickname, the “Black Mamba.”

The jerseys resemble the ones the Lakers wore a few times during the 2020 NBA Playoffs to honor Bryant’s memory after he and eight others died in a helicopter crash earlier that year.

The jerseys will reportedly only be available to fans who purchase a special event ticket package for the Dodgers’ Sept. 1 contest against the Atlanta Braves.
