The Arizona Diamondbacks are not allowed to make any moves as the MLB lockout continues.

That hasn't stopped many sites from speculating about the team potentially trading away one of its best, and most popular, players.

Several MLB writers have speculated about Ketel Marte's future with the Diamondbacks in recent stories, wondering if Arizona could trade its star.

The New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays and Miami Marlins are among the teams listed as potential trade partners with the Diamondbacks in recent speculation.

Here's some of the latest speculation surrounding Marte's future with the Diamondbacks:

MLB Trade Rumors: Should the Diamondbacks trade Ketel Marte?

Anthony Franco writes: "One could make a cogent argument that Arizona should pursue some form of organizational reboot, and no one on the roster would bring back as strong a return in trade as Marte. Yet there’s no certainty any prospect they get back will become a player anywhere near Marte’s caliber, and he should still be in high demand this summer or next offseason if the club hasn’t seen much near-term progress."

Bleacher Report: Trading for Ketel Marte perfect trade for Blue Jays

Zachary D. Rymer writes: "The Blue Jays could also be in the hunt for Hader, or they could target a hitter who could replace Marcus Semien and balance a lineup that leans to the right. Such things make them an ideal candidate to push for Marte, a switch-hitter who could take over at second base while sharing time with George Springer in center field."

Bleacher Report: Trading for Ketel Marte perfect trade for Philadelphia Phillies

Zachary D. Rymer wites: "The Phillies could stand to upgrade multiple positions on the field, but none more so than a center field spot that doesn't have a clear regular going into 2022. Now that Byron Buxton is off the market, Marte is the best the Phillies can do there. His ability to play second base would also suit them well, as he could moonlight there if Jean Segura is needed at third base."

SB Nation: Ketel Marte potential offseason target for Red Sox

Matt Collins writes: "His offense would seem to be a tremendous fit at Fenway Park, too, as a switch hitter who can rack up a ton of extra base hits. Marte is certainly a better hitter from the right side going up against left-handed pitching, finishing with a spectacular 202 wRC+ in those situations this past season, but he also holds his own hitting from the left side as well. In 2021 against right-handed pitching he finished with a 112 wRC+. A line drive hitter who finished in the top 20 percent of the league in nearly all batted ball-related metrics last season per Baseball Savant, he could take advantage of Fenway’s dimensions and boost those power numbers with a handful of extra doubles and triples."

NJ.com: ‘Really good’ Ketel Marte would solve 2 problems for Yankees

Randy Miller writes: "The Yankees do have add-on options, including a couple very good ones. The other Marte is one. But the Yankees would have to trade for Arizona Diamondbacks center fielder/second baseman Ketel Marte, and they’d probably have to give up a whole lot to get him. But if successful, the Yanks may be plugging two holes because Marte could start in center or slide into a super utility role that opened in November when Cashman freed up a 40-man roster spot dealing Tyler Wade to the Los Angeles Angels."

Just Baseball: It is time for the Diamondbacks to trade Ketel Marte

Aram Leighton writes: "A huge reason why Marte could bring in a major return for Arizona is the fact that he is only owed $8 million this year followed by a pair of team friendly club options for $10 million in 2023 and $12 million in 2024. Arizona could hold onto Marte into the season and look to trade him at the deadline, but I am not sure there is much to gain by doing that."

Fansided: What a potential Ketel Marte trade would look like for Miami Marlins

Matt Melton writes: "While a potential deal could obviously look different than what is listed previously, one thing is clear however – if the Miami Marlins were to trade for Marte this offseason, it would take a massive package going to Arizona in return to get a deal done."

Fansided: Houston Astros should explore trade for Ketel Marte

Kenny Van Doren writes: "Marte is an All-Star caliber player that has spent most of his innings recently in center field but was primarily a shortstop earlier in his career in Seattle. The righty could move back to the middle-infield, if needed, and offer a sort of stop gap approach, as the Astros wait on the progressions of Jeremy Pena. From there, Marte could play center field, a position he is not highly rated well at. He ranks in the sixth percentile in Outs Above Average and in the fifth percentile of Outfield Jump by Baseball Savant, which doesn’t show much defensive promise if the Astros attempt this route."

SB Nation: Marlins should explore options trading for Ketel Marte

Louis Addeo-Weiss writes: "One team with a noted interest in Marte’s services: the Miami Marlins. Either at second or center, his exceptional bat would be a boon for their offense. What would it take for Miami to pry Marte away from the rebuilding D-backs? Brace yourself: a slight overpay is required for a player with this combo of talent and track record."

SB Nation: Ketel Marte potential trade target for Yankees

Andres Chavez writes: "MLB Trade Rumors suggested that a package for Marte could look a lot like the one the D-Backs got for Paul Goldschmidt: two MLB-ready young players (pitcher Luke Weaver, catcher Carson Kelly), one good prospect (Andrew Young, who has since made his big league debut) and a Competitive Balance Round draft pick. If they wanted, the Yankees could put something like that together (well, perhaps the prospects wouldn’t be as MLB-ready as those), but will they go the Marte road knowing that the defensive fit may not be ideal? Only time will tell."
