If you were a single male, would you go out with an aspiring country music singer on a Billboard watch list if she asked you out on a date?

Of course you would. So it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that New Jersey Devils goalie Keith Kinkaid went on a date with singer Taylor Acorn.

The two didn’t meet on Bumble, the dating app where women message men first. Acorn made her move on Twitter a week ago, asking how many retweets it would take for Kinkaid to take her out on a date.

Spoiler alert: she did not need that many. We can only assume Kinkaid did his due diligence and looked at her Twitter avatar and Instagram page before setting a very attainable threshold. It is very good to be a professional athlete. I have never had an aspiring country music star ask me out on Twitter and I am extremely handsome.

“Next Wednesday” was March 28 and, sure enough, the couple went to a Chipotle for a first date. Any other guy suggesting Chipotle for a first date would probably get turned down. But hey, didn’t we say it was really good to be a professional athlete?

We are left to wonder if they went for drinks after their Chipotle meal because there is no photo Twitter proof that they did. Chipotle doesn’t seem like a place where you converse and linger over empty burrito bowls and if the date’s going well you don’t want to end it after the time it takes to eat a salad, right?

Good luck to the hopefully happy couple, who undoubtedly are more internet famous than they were on March 20. And isn’t that incredibly important in life?
