Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 18 matchup

Jared Goff's Detroit Lions (8-8) look to squeeze into the playoffs with a Week 18 win, but they'll first need to take down postseason-hopeful Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (8-8) in an NFC North showdown.

The winner of this game just might book themselves a trip to wild-card weekend. But which team picks up the win? The Packers have won four straight to put themselves in position, while the Lions have continued to play hard for coach Dan Campbell. The game kicks off Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET from Lambeau Field.

Here's a look at the betting details and USA TODAY's NFL staff picks for the Lions vs. Packers Week 18 game:

Lorenzo Reyes: Packers 27, Lions 25

This is a spot Aaron Rodgers typically has excelled in, though it’s Green Bay’s defense and special teams that are making this team dangerous. The Lions, however, are young and seem to be immune to the gravity of the stage they’re in. Their play-action offense has been rolling and with slim playoff hopes alive, and this being the last game of the regular season, I’m expecting it to be closer than the line indicates.

Safid Deen: Packers 34, Lions 31

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will celebrate their run to get into the playoffs with a win over the Detroit Lions, which might be aided by a Seahawks win over the Rams. The Lions will play Green Bay tough, but knowing Seattle won before kickoff won’t be the motivator they need to win.

Richard Morin: Lions 31, Packers 30

It's pretty spectacular to see the Packers in a position to make the playoffs after a 4-8 start, and they can complete the journey with a win at home. However, I see Rodgers and Co. falling just short while the fighting Dan Campbells celebrate in Green Bay.

Jarrett Bell: Packers 27, Lions 24

Nate Davis: Packers 27, Lions 23
