Day 2 of the NFL draft in downtown Detroit has these events in store

The 2024 NFL draft kicked off Thursday evening with hundreds of thousands flocking to downtown Detroit to take part in the festivities.

With one of three days behind us, there's plenty more action to be had on Friday, both in and around the official event space.

Here are some things to look for Friday.

Friday draft activities

  • Noon-10 p.m. - NFL Draft Experience at Hart Plaza: Food trucks, exhibits, autographs, athletic challenges and more.

  • noon-8 p.m. - Draft Day in the D: Capitol Park, Beacon Park, Paradise Valley Beatrice Buck Park, Grand Circus Park West and Grand Circus Park East will host parties with 20-foot video walls, live music and food trucks.

  • 3 p.m.-10 p.m. - The Corner Ballpark youth activities: Field goal kicking, equipment try-ons, football clinics for kids ages 6-14 and a draft watch party.

  • 5 p.m.-8 p.m. - Eastern Market Night Market: Sheds 2, 3 and 4 will be lined with food vendors and crafts from local artisans. Shed 5 will host Blk Market, featuring live music and Black-owned business vendors.

  • 6 p.m. - Detroit Youth Choir: The nationally acclaimed group recently spotlighted in a Disney+ documentary — will perform at Campus Martius Park.

  • 7 p.m. - Draft: Rounds 4-7
