David Grace is leaving after one season of leading Peoria Centennial's boys basketball team and heading to Southern California, where he could be coaching LeBron James' youngest son next season at Campbell Hall High School.

The Los Angeles Daily News reported that Grace has been named the coach and that he is expected to coach Bryce James, who will be a junior. Bryce is expected to transfer from Sierra Canyon, where he teamed up with his brother Bronny, who is graduating.

Campbell Hall is in the process of becoming a pipeline for top talent, including Tanner Jones, the son of former NBA guard Dahntay Jones.

Grace, a longtime Division I college basketball assistant after leading Phoenix South Mountain to a state championship in the mid-2000s, did not return a message from The Arizona Republic.

But, in the LA Daily News story, Grace, a former UCLA assistant coach, is quoted, "I am honored and excited to be the next head basketball coach at Campbell Hall."

Grace led Centennial to an 18-11 record. It reached the first Open Division tournament, but after losing in the early round, it got into the 5A tournament, where the Coyotes lost to eventual state champion Gilbert Campo Verde 54-53 in the semifinals.
