Date set for MSU-Tennessee basketball preseason scrimmage in Knoxville, Tenn.

The date for Michigan State’s secret scrimmage against Tennessee has been revealed.

The Spartans will head to Knoxville, Tenn. on Oct. 23 to play a scrimmage against the Volunteers. The scrimmage isn’t considered an official exhibition and shouldn’t be televised or open to the public to view. However, we can save the date to see if any insider reports come out on how the team looked in this matchup as information is generally leaked afterwards.

Michigan State basketball will play their first official exhibition game a few days later on Nov. 1 against Grand Valley State from the Breslin Center. That game is slated to tip at 7 p.m. ET and will be televised on Big Ten Plus.

The Spartans will officially open the regular season on Nov. 7 against Northern Arizona. That game will also tip of at 7 p.m. ET and be televised by Big Ten Plus.
