Damian Lillard's 40 leads Trail Blazers past Thunder

Damian Lillard finished with 40 points and notched 11 assists to help the Portland Trail Blazers sneak past the Oklahoma City Thunder, 115-111. This is the seventh win for Portland (23-7) in its last 10 games.

Lillard shot 11-21 from the field (8-12 on 3-pointers) and 10-11 from the free throw line, in an efficient offensive performance. LaMarcus Aldridge chipped in 25 points and nine rebounds for Portland as well. Russell Westbrook had another quality performance for Oklahoma City in the loss, scoring 40 points on 16-34 shooting (1-5 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 7-9 from the free throw line. He also registered 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals. Reggie Jackson added 21 points and nine rebounds and Serge Ibaka finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.

This drops Oklahoma City (13-16) to 0-2 against Portland on the year.

Coming up next, the Trail Blazers battle the Philadelphia 76ers, who are 4-23 on the year. The Thunder match up against the San Antonio Spurs, currently 18-11 this season. The Trail Blazers are 1-0 versus Philadelphia this season.
